Just a quick update on a couple of pieces that ran this week.
QX Magazine picked up my post from last weekend about the future of the Royal Vauxhall Tavern and ran it as a spread in their latest edition. Happily, we were able to update it to include the news, which broke a couple of days after my post first ran, that Lambeth council has agreed to list the Tavern as an asset of community value, making its future as a queer performance pub a bit more secure.
And it was announced this week that Neil Patrick Harris will host next year’s Oscars. As I’d interviewed him a few weeks ago for the Guardian, they asked me to do a round-up of ten key moments from NPH’s career, which you can read here. (There’s also this post, if you didn’t catch it, about his love for immersive theatre.)
